+Simon Cowell cryogenically frozen Posted: 21 Aug 2011 02:00 AM PDT +Simon Cowell cryogenically frozenSimon Cowell has admitted that he is interested in being cryogenically frozen after his death. The X Factor boss expressed a desire for his body to be preserved so that he could be reanimated in the future and have "a second crack" at life. "It's an insurance policy," he told GQ. "If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But if it does work, I'll be happy. "If it's possible – and I think it will be – why not have a second crack? Does that sound crazy? I think it's a good idea. I have a feeling that if I don't do it, I could regret it in 300 years." Despite his attempts to stave off death, Cowell confirmed that he had already decided where his fortune would be allocated in the event of his passing. "Leave the whole lot to charity," he suggested. "You enjoy it while you've got it, then it's gone to good causes. If I was given a ton of money when I was 21, God only knows where I'd be now." Cowell, who this year moved into the UK music rich list top ten for the first time, is estimated to be worth £200m. Read More: Digital Spy Edit your submission |
Rihanna Works on the Sideswept Locks Posted: 20 Aug 2011 10:04 PM PDT It’s confirmed: Rihanna has already ditched the red locks, and now she’s embracing her natural ‘do. And she even has them set in soft sideswept curls at the launch of her fragrance in London. But while she looked lovely with the curls, she also looked a bit stupid in her dress.
The green fringe dress she wore at the launch only ruined what was supposed to be a totally elegant look. The color was bland solid, the fringes made her look fat, and it didn’t compliment her hair or her accessories. And the pointed heels she sported with the dress made her look matronly. The 82-year-old business tycoon told the Daily Star: "I'm going into the Big Brother house to serve up quite a few surprises." Meanwhile, a source said: "This will be a real shocker, another Fright Night. Darryn may have many celebrity friends in the world but he also has a lot of enemies. "Let's just say that Al-Fayed knows of him, what he has done and isn't his biggest admirer." Finally, Eco Friendly Shoes for Men Posted: 20 Aug 2011 02:02 PM PDT Finally, some eco-friendly shoes for the fashionable green men out there. We’ve seen an abundance of eco-friendly shoes here on Green Prophet of late – from Sharon Golan’s mix-and-match Shell 256 shoes to Daniela Bekerman’s “ze o ze” shoes that let you change the heels to fit your mood. But what’s an eco-friendly man to do? Go barefoot? Thanks to a small-scale production leatherwork co-op in Tel Aviv, he doesn’t have to any more. Introducing 100% natural, vegetable tanned leather sandals with a recycled rubber sole. (And they’re stylish too.) This four-person co-op does all of the production and administration involved with creating the sandals, and this allows them to have full control over what goes into the shoes. Only natural Italian leather is used, and no dyes or artificial substances. The leather is also vegetable-tanned, which means that it avoids the usage of environmentally damaging chemical tanners. The sandals are sold via Apolis, a company that believes that the “most valuable practice in creating lasting change is by investing in people. It is people who are the innovators, the advocates, and the revolutionaries. Apolis is a platform for a network of global citizens who are empowering people through opportunity.” On the co-op that makes the sandals, Shea Parton, co-founder of Apolis, says that “they understand the importance of carefully sourcing their materials, an approach which continues to be a central part of their business, enabling them to truly appreciate what goes in to each pair of handcrafted sandals. We hope you wear them well.” Read more about other eco-friendly shoe designs::
