The Phrase You're Probably Misusing

Thursday, June 21, 2012
Hi, y'all! Zoë here.

This week, I wrote my column about a phrase that is often misused: "begging the question." People typically confuse it with "raising the question." But that's simply incorrect.

Already know how to use "begging the question?" Or perhaps you don't care much about that phrase? Check out some of my other columns! There's one on "it is what it is," the filler word "like" and also on the misuse of the word "literally."

Have any suggestions for words or phrases I should tackle in future columns? Let me know in the comments section of my post!

Do you have a summer reading list? My list is, strangely, almost identical to the reading list I had last summer. Which is similar to the one from the year before, and the year before, and so on, all the way back to something like, oh, 2002.
