The R&B crooner went to great lengths to attempt to reach his daughter — even employing a third party to attempt to get his message through. “Bobby got a go-between to contact Bobbi Kristina to try and persuade her, but she told them she was not going because she did not like Alicia, and that she was [busy] filming her reality show with [aunt] Pat Houston in New York,” the insider shares. The source adds that Bobbi Kristina’s aunt Pat — Whitney Houston’s sister — is doing her best to keep the troubled teen in check. “She’s trying to act like a mother figure,” the source explains. “Pat does not like Bobby Brown and was pleased that Bobbi Kristina did not go to the wedding, as she feels that her father will always try and take advantage of her.” Over the years, Bobby Brown’s relationship with his daughter has been strained during the best of times, marred by long periods of estrangement. Mother Lists Child For Sale In Local Newspaper It’s amazing what’s allowed to be posted in the classifieds these days. A Dallas mother is suspected of trying to sell her newborn in a classified ad. On Saturday, Dallas Police identified the mother as 26-year-old Brittany Hill. She was arrested Friday. Hill faces a charge of Child Abandonment. The would-be-buyer of the baby contacted Dallas police about the classified ad selling a 4-month-old baby boy for $4,000. The potential buyer got cold feet and called police. Managers at the Shadow Ridge apartments went into Hill's apartment on Friday afternoon to try and collect back rent. Police said the managers found the baby alone in his crib with no one else in the apartment. Source

Your advice is too real! It's my turn to feel you!! Here goes nothing! I've been with my boyfriend on an off for 13 years. We have no children together, but he has 3 children from 3 different women. He wants me to trust him and be in a committed relationship, but I can't find it in my heart to believe him. My boyfriend had his first child when I was 4 months pregnant when he told me. I stressed myself out and miscarried. I moved to Atlanta for 2 years to clear my head from him. Within one year of living in Atlanta we still kept in contact and I found about his 2nd child from a different girl. I moved back to our home town, and we worked things out. We recently moved in together and I found out about his 3rd child that he didn't tell me about, when I asked him about it he says the child is two years old and the reason he didn't tell me is because he didn't know when the time would be right to tell me. So, he has 3 daughters ages 5, 4, and 2 years old. All of the baby mother's are seeking child support payments from him. He claims he is not with this ghetto stuff and he could care less about being on child support, he wants nothing to do with any of the mothers. He tells me all the time I need to trust him and that he has changed. He says that he is not doing anything with any other women, and that he is done hurting me. Stop Black-On-Black Violence: Chicago Homicide Rate Up 38% From Last Year! Posted: 26 Jun 2012 05:38 AM PDT That’s that isht we don’t like… The Homocide Rate In Chicago Is Up Significantly From Last Year Mayor Rahm Emanuel's first reading material each morning, at 5:30, is not a budget update, a legislative proposal or a packet of headlines. It is an e-mail from the Chicago Police Department listing the crimes that were committed during the night that just ended. By 7 a.m., he is calling Garry F. McCarthy, the police superintendent. That is unlikely to be their final conversation of the day, or even of the morning. Mr. Emanuel listed safer streets among his top three priorities when he became mayor a year ago, but Chicago, the nation's third-largest city, is now testing that promise. Homicides are up by 38 percent from a year ago, and shootings have increased as well, even as killings have held steady or dropped in New York, Los Angeles and some other cities. As of June 17, 240 people had been killed here this year, mostly in shootings, 66 more deaths than occurred in the same period in 2011. "That's somebody's husband, somebody's son, and they're dying right on our block," said Maya Hodari, who lives on a South Side street where two shootings have already taken place this year, one of them fatal and another as a toddler looked on. "It hurts." The violence has left its largest scars in some of Chicago's most impoverished, struggling neighborhoods on the South and West Sides, places with views of the city's gleaming downtown skyline that feel worlds apart. Wealthier, whiter parts of the city have not been entirely immune — shootings were reported in the last few days along the city's Magnificent Mile shopping district and near the Lincoln Park Zoo — but a majority of the killings have been tied to Chicago's increasingly complicated gang warfare, police statistics suggest, and to the gritty neighborhoods where gangs have long thrived. There is no evidence of a broader crime wave; in fact, measures of crime apart from homicides, including rapes, robberies, burglaries and auto thefts, have actually improved by about 10 percent since a year ago. Mayor Emanuel blames gangs for the majority of the violence. "We've got a gang issue, specific to parts of the city, and we have a responsibility to bring a quality of life to those residents, and we are going to do it," Mayor Emanuel, visibly vexed, said in an interview on Friday. "My bigger issue is not only the homicides and shootings," he added. "It's what it does to all the legitimate citizens in that community and the kids." Gangs in this city have changed over the decades, splintering from a small set of well-established bands into hundreds of tinier groups with alliances so disparate and shifting that even a former Gangster Disciple member from the West Side, who refused to be named but revealed bullet scars during an interview as proof of his rougher days, said he could not begin to keep them all straight. Brittany Hill, 26, was arrested Friday on suspicion of child abandonment after apartment managers found the 4-month-old baby alone in her apartment. A woman had earlier called 911 about the classified ad offering the baby for sale. She told police that she was going to buy the child but got cold feet. But Hill said Monday that she was not trying to sell her son. “I know that’s illegal,” she said. “I’m not stupid — that’s called, like, black-market-something. I’ve read up about it; I know.” Hill said she posted the ad but just wanted to cover the cost of hiring an attorney to handle the adoption process. “Look deeper into it instead of just being like, ‘OK, that’s what it is. She’s trying to sell her child — screw that,’ you know. It’s not like that,” she said. Hill said she doesn’t know much about adoption. Kids Suffer Second Degree Sunburns Because School Requires Doctor’s Note For Sunscreen Posted: 26 Jun 2012 05:26 AM PDT Kids Badly Sunburned After School Prohibits Use Of Sunscreen Without A Doctor’s Note A Tacoma, Wash., mom is seeing red after her fair-skinned daughters returned home from school severely sunburned. Violet and Zoe Michener were outside for five hours during the school’s year-end ‘Field Day,’ and when they returned home, they had burns and blisters, according to their mother Jesse Michener. Michener says she took her children to a local hospital in order to document the severity of the burns. Michener says she did not give the girls sunscreen because it was raining when they left for school. She says school officials should have been able to let them apply sunscreen when the sun came out–especially since Zoe, 9, has a form of albinism. But the school district’s policy only allows for sunscreen to be applied when the student has a signed doctor’s note giving the okay, because the district considers sunscreen a medication. Hush, Hush: Feds Won’t Reveal What Exactly $80 Billion American Dollars Are Spent On Food Stamps Each Year Posted: 26 Jun 2012 05:21 AM PDT Feds Won’t Reveal What $80B American Dollars Are Spent On Food Stamps The Feds are being pretty sneaky with our tax dollars…. Americans spend $80 billion each year financing food stamps for the poor, but the country has no idea where or how the money is spent. Food stamps can be spent on goods ranging from candy to steak and are accepted at retailers from gas stations that primarily sell potato chips to fried-chicken restaurants. And as the amount spent on food stamps has more than doubled in recent years, the amount of food stamps laundered into cash has increased dramatically, government statistics show. But the government won't say which stores are doing the most business in food stamps, and even it doesn't know what kinds of food those taxpayer dollars buy. Coinciding with lobbying by convenience stores, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which administers the program in conjunction with states, contends that disclosing how much each store authorized to accept benefits, known as the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), receives in taxpayer funds would amount to revealing trade secrets. As a result, fraud is hard to track and the efficacy of the massive program is impossible to evaluate. As the House debates the once-every-five-years farm bill, the majority of which goes to food stamps, there is a renewed and fervent call from a broad spectrum of camps that the information — some of the most high-dollar, frequently requested and closely held secrets of the government — be set free. "We can't release it based on federal rules. If it were up to us, I wouldn't have a problem releasing the information. It's taxpayer money," said Tom Steinhauser with the division of benefit programs for the Virginia Department of Social Services. The District said it would be illegal to tell the newspaper how many food stamp dollars were flowing to each local vendor, but first offered to sell The Washington Times the information for $125,000. "Why don't you just pay the charges? Your paper has a lot of money," said David Umansky, spokesman for the District's chief financial officer. The USDA is notoriously secretive about who receives its money, relying on weak legal reasoning, said Steve Ellis of the watchdog group Taxpayers for Common Sense. "USDA hides behind a specious proprietary data argument: The public doesn't want to know internal business decisions or information about specific individuals' finances," he said. "The USDA sees retailers, junk food manufacturers and the big ag lobby as their customers, rather than the taxpayer." The agency also has no idea what type of food the benefits are buying, even though the combination of universal bar codes and benefit cards makes that entirely feasible. "It's one of those questions that frankly those of us who have been working on this issue have been struggling with a long time because we need to see the data. The industry looks at it as proprietary. The USDA doesn't track where that money goes," said Beth Johnson, a former Senate Agriculture Committee and USDA staffer who now consults for the Snack Food Association. She noted that stores have breakdowns of products bought with food stamps but declined to share them with the USDA. In the District and other urban areas, much more is likely spent at corner stores where junk food is more abundant and fraud is more common. If a small corner store reported high levels of food stamp sales, that could be an obvious indicator that it was accepting customers' food stamps and giving back cash, a common scheme. Eat Drink Politics called on the House to mandate that the USDA begin tracking food types and release store totals, calling them "critical to effective evaluation." The Senate passed a version of the farm bill Thursday that lowers food stamp spending by $4.5 billion. But no one in either chamber has proposed an amendment to require the USDA to reveal where the remaining money is going. Wow. They were really trying to charge $125K for the info??? Shiesty, shiesty.
