San Francisco Parents Hunt And Kill Their Daughter’s Suspected Pimp A San Francisco couple whose teenage daughter was allegedly being pimped by a Southern California man tracked him around the state, failing at one attempt to kill him before shooting him to death near Candlestick Park, authorities said Wednesday. Attorneys for the couple say that they tried everything to rescue their daughter from Calvin Sneed, a 22-year-old alleged gang member from Compton (Los Angeles County), but that they didn’t kill him. Prosecutors, however, say that when Barry Gilton and his longtime girlfriend, Lupe Mercado, couldn’t get their 17-year-old daughter back through legitimate means, they turned to premeditated murder. Gilton, 38, and Mercado, 37, appeared in court Wednesday on murder and other charges for allegedly shooting Sneed in the Bayview neighborhood in the early hours of June 4. The couple have been together since middle school and live with their three other children in San Francisco. Their daughter disappeared some time ago and after searching for her, Gilton and Mercado discovered that she was turning tricks and that Sneed was her pimp, their attorneys said. “They had gone out to local police agencies, agencies in Southern California – they had even tried talking to national organizations,” said Eric Safire, Gilton’s attorney. “Every place they turned to turned them away.”
These folks were really on some Liam Neeson in “Taken” isht! Eventually, they found out that the girl and Sneed were in North Hollywood, San Francisco police Officer David Nakasu said in the criminal complaint. On May 27, someone fired a 9 mm pistol into Sneed’s car, and police believe that it was either Gilton or Mercado. The complaint says Sneed was hit at least once. However, Los Angeles police Detective Thomas Townsend said Wednesday that none of the several rounds a single shooter fired into the car hit Sneed. The shooter escaped, police said. The couple’s lawyers say their daughter accompanied Sneed to the hospital after the May 27 incident. On June 4, Sneed was in San Francisco, driving his Toyota Camry at Meade and LeConte avenues at 2 a.m., when someone – prosecutors say it was Gilton – shot him with a .40-caliber handgun. Sneed crashed into a parked car and died a short time later at San Francisco General Hospital.
The D.A. says that they will get a conviction on both Gilton and Mercado, they are facing life without parole and 25 years in prison respectively. Do you think these folks should be given a lesser sentence, or better yet, let off scott-free?? Image via ShutterShock

"Nicole is relatively demure and collected, while Jessica is so over the top she just sucks the air out of the room. "As the show progressed, Nicole saw herself becoming second banana to Jessica, and that's not what she signed on for." Nicole, 30, and Jessica, 31, taped "Fashion Star" last summer, and as Nicole watched the season play out on TV, she found herself disappointed. "It was pretty obvious to Nicole that the producers had the show edited to make Jessica the focus," the source said. And Nicole fears things will be even worse next season when Jessica starts "blabbing" about her new daughter, Maxwell, who was born on May 1. The two women have had parallel careers in that both were reality stars who went on to launch their own fashion lines. But while Jessica's empire is worth an estimated $1 billion, Nicole's House of Harlow only brings in about $2 million annually. "Nicole originally believed that by doing the show, she could increase the visibility of her line and maybe score some product endorsements or acting jobs," the source maintained. "But she hasn't gotten the boost she wanted." The two women haven't clicked behind the scenes either, says the source. Jessica "pretty much ignored Nicole," while Nicole – mom to 4-year-old daughter Harlow and 2-year-old son Sparrow – was less than thrilled over how much attention Jessica was getting just for being pregnant. "Nicole says Jessica acts like she's the first woman to ever have a baby," added the source. "She'd rather jump ship now than watch Jessica be Queen Bee next season."

Teacher Arrested For Having Students Cut Themselves To Remove Demons A St. Petersburg teacher has been arrested in a case involving former students and a ritual involving cutting their bodies to release “evil spirits,” police said. Danielle Harkins, 35, told teenagers they had evil spirits in their bodies, and she wanted to get them out, police said. Harkins was able persuade two former students to follow through with a ritual ceremony, police said. Harkins was charged with aggravated battery and child abuse and was being held at the Pinellas County Jail on $55,000 bail. Harkins met and tutored the students while serving as a literacy mentor at the Lealman and Asian Learning Center in St. Petersburg. Investigators said Harkins was at The Pier on Saturday with seven former students when she told a 16- and 17-year-old to take part in a ritual based on her religious beliefs. “Apparently, there was some sort of ritual taking place where she was directing teenagers to cut themselves to release demons from their bodies,” said Sgt. Mike Puetz of the St. Petersburg Police Department, “and at some point (she would cauterize) the wound by using a heated key or applying fire to the skin to close the wound to keep the evil spirits from getting back.” Harkins was arrested after one of her former students told his father what happened Saturday, investigators said. Investigators said they’ve spoken to Harkins, but she didn’t spell out what type of religion would require such drastic measures. “She hasn’t informed us exactly what she was trying to accomplish with this,” Puetz said. Police want to know if there are other victims. “One of the things we are looking at is whether or not there was any other past events similar to this,” Puetz said. “At this point we don’t have any indication of that, but that is one of the aspects of the investigation we will be doing.” The director of the learning center said Harkins has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the case.

U.S. Military To Recognize Gay And Lesbian Troops By Celebrating “Gay Pride” Wait, how did we go from homophobes to homophiles? Last summer, gays in the U.S. military dared not acknowledge their sexual orientation. This summer, the Pentagon will salute them, marking June as gay pride month just as it has marked other celebrations honoring racial or ethnic groups. In the latest remarkable sign of change since the military repealed its “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy requiring gays and lesbians to remain silent about their sexual orientation, the Defense Department will soon hold its first event to recognize gay and lesbian troops. It comes nine months after repeal of the policy that forced more than 13,500 service members out of the armed forces. Details are still being worked out, but officials say Defense Secretary Leon Panetta wants to honor the contributions of gay service members. “Now that we’ve repealed `don’t ask, don’t tell,’ he feels it’s important to find a way this month to recognize the service and professionalism of gay and lesbian troops,” said Navy Capt. John Kirby, a spokesman. This month’s event will follow a long tradition at the Pentagon of recognizing diversity in America’s armed forces. Hallway displays and activities, for example, have marked Black History Month and Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month. Before the repeal, gay troops could serve but would be discharged if they revealed their orientation. At the same time, a commanding officer was prohibited from asking a service member whether he or she was gay. Although some feared a repeal of the ban would cause problems in the ranks, officials and gay advocacy groups say no big issues have materialized — aside from what advocacy groups criticize as slow implementation of some changes, such as benefit entitlements to troops in same-sex marriages.

Guess “Stop Snitchin” is officially a thing of the past Chris Brown Talks To The NYPD, Lawyers Say Drake, Meek Mill Started Fight According to TMZ reports: Chris Brown has spoken with New York Police Dept. detectives about the bar fight that left a gash in his chin … and law enforcement sources tell us his lawyer has given the NYPD “physical evidence” which allegedly shows Drake was involved in the melee. We’re told Chris’ lawyer, Mark Geragos, went to the NYPD late today to present evidence showing that Drake and Meek Mill were the aggressors, but earlier in the day Chris spoke with Detectives at an undisclosed location in NYC. Cops tell us Chris is not currently a suspect but rather “a witness and a victim.” We’re also told Drake is not currently a suspect. On the other side, we’re told Drake has been “cooperating” with authorities, but we do not know if he has spoken to cops — it appears his representatives have had conversations with detectives. Sources tell us … the bad guy here may be someone in Chris’ camp, who was inciting Drake and his people all night. As we previously reported both Chris and Drake were trash talking each other before the fight, flipping each other off and what not.

This ninja ain’t shhhhhh Doctor Accused Of Shooting Receptionist Girlfriend At Hospital Still On The Run The doctor accused of shooting and killing the receptionist he’d dated at Erie County Medical Center is still on the lam. Police say they’ve issued a nationwide alert to law enforcement agencies for a Buffalo trauma surgeon sought in connection with the hospital shooting death of his ex-girlfriend. Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda said Thursday that authorities don’t believe 49-year-old Timothy Jorden crossed the border into neighboring Ontario. He says all vehicles registered to the former US Army weapons specialist have been accounted for as police continue to search for him. The search began Wednesday morning when 33-year-old Jacqueline Wisniewski was found shot to death in a stairwell at the Erie County Medical Center, where she and Jorden both worked.
This guy was cray. They say he put a GPS device on her car after she broke up with him. SMH. Ladies be careful who you let into your lives.
